Position Summary
As the Global Sales Manager, you will own the end-to-end sales strategy and execution for our elastomer bonding product portfolio across multiple industries and regions. You will lead a high-performing sales team, collaborate with our product development and spaneting teams to tailor solutions to customer needs, and develop strategic partnerships that fuel sustainable revenue growth.
This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong commercial acumen and excellent leadership skills as well as a proven track record of managing complex sales cycles on a global scale.
This role will be located on site in either Cary, NC or Erie, PA.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and expand a global sales team, fostering a culture of high performance, collaboration, and customer-centricity.
- Accountable for motivating and offering ongoing direction to sales team members executing sales goals.
- Accountable for ensuring sales forecast align with operational requirements. Must have the ability to quickly identify changing customer requirements and follow through with corresponding strategies.
- Identify, qualify, and close strategic sales opportunities with OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, and key industrial accounts worldwide.
- Collaborate closely with R&D, engineering, and product management to align customer requirements with innovative elastomer bonding solutions.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with global customers, distributors, and channel partners.
- Monitor spanet trends, competitive landscape, and customer feedback to inform product development and sales tactics.
- Prepare and present regular sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and business reviews to senior leadership.
- Manage budgets, pricing strategies, and contract negotiations to maximize profitability and spanet share.
- Represent the division at global industry events, trade shows, and customer forums.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, Business, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum 8-10 years of B2B sales experience in sales/spaneting or product management experience with broad knowledge of product applications, competition and spanets.
- Proven track record of managing global sales teams and delivering strong revenue growth in technical, industrial spanets.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Familiarity with SAP and Salesforce.com
- Experience working with OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, and multinational industrial customers
- Demonstrated ability to lead people and obtain results through others typically acquired through ten or more years of increasing experience and responsibility including prior leadership and/or program management role.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to effectively and persuasively present information to top management, customers, and team members.
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally up to 40 of the time.
- Fluent in English; additional language skills are a plus
