As a Zipline Operator you will drive and guide tourists through the dessert and wadis in the UAE, responsible for the comfort, safety and general well-being of passengers and vehicles. Where required responsible for overseeing the daily operation, safety checks, and guest experience of our desert zipline attraction.
In this role you will:
- Co-ordinate and have prior meetings with the Arabian Adventures (AA) Safari Supervisor to understand and ensure the requirements to deliver the quality of service to exceed the expectations and to coordinate on a daily basis the allocation of jobs with regards to the requirements of the bookings.
- Work with Safari Supervisor to establish, develop, update and maintain a Safari Operations Procedures Manual covering all areas of operations ensuring that policies, procedures, product, safety and emergency information etc. is available in order to ensure a total quality environment within the camps.
- Liaise with the Supervisor in relation to written guest complaints received with regard to Safari experiences, ensuring that each case is objectively investigated and timely feedback.
- Identify problem areas and proactively plan, organise and co-ordinate all resources.
- Ensure checking of vehicles mechanics and cleanliness prior to start of safari and ensure appropriate equipment are carried at all times. Record and maintain the safari cars utilisation in a logbook to record mileage and maintenance of cars.
- Checking the good state of cleanliness of material prior to start of safari / overnight safari (sleeping bags, mattresses etc)
- Promote the positive image of AA by innovative and practical approach during various weather
conditions, in order to conduct safaris safely and at a high standard. - Specific to Zipline, ability to manage and execute daily checklists, including maintenance checklist, Harness inspection checklist. Safety equipment audits and checks.
QualificationTo be considered for the role, you must meet the below requirements:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in harnessing for zipline or high ropes activities
- Basic knowledge of vehicle mechanics is needed
- A good knowledge of the UAE’s culture, heritage, wildlife (flora & fauna), local hotels & service industry. First Aid & Safety procedures.
- Proven ability to work independently with minimum amount of supervision
- Strong communication skills
- Computer literate and able to use Office Applications
