We have an exciting opening for a Machine Operator in Forest City, NC. This position is a key role within the manufacturing process, responsible for operating and maintaining machinery used in the production of valves. This position ensures that machines are set up correctly, operate efficiently, and produce high-quality products while adhering to safety and quality standards. The Machine Operator collaborates with team members to meet production goals and maintain a smooth workflow.

Your main responsibilities

  • Machine Operation:
    • Set up, operate, and monitor machinery to ensure optimal performance during the production process.
    • Adjust machine settings as necessary to accommodate different production specifications and ensure quality output.
  • Quality Control:
    • Conduct regular inspections of products during and after the manufacturing process to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
    • Document and report any defects or irregularities to supervisors promptly, taking corrective actions as needed.
  • Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
    • Perform routine maintenance on machines, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn or damaged parts.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve minor mechanical issues to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency.
  • Safety Compliance:
    • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for oneself and others.
    • Participate in safety training and contribute to a culture of safety within the manufacturing facility.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate production records, including quantities produced, machine performance, and any incidents or issues encountered during operation.
    • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding production status and any challenges faced.
  • Collaboration:
    • Work closely with other operators, supervisors, and quality control personnel to achieve production goals and maintain high standards of quality.
    • Assist in training new operators on machine operation and safety procedures as needed.

 

We are looking for a talent with

High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in machine operation or manufacturing is a plus.

Previous experience as a machine operator or in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

Ability to read and interpret technical documents, such as blueprints and machine manuals.

Basic computer skills for data entry and record-keeping.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Ability to lift and carry up to [25 lbs.] and perform physical tasks such as bending, standing, and walking for extended periods.
