Position Summary
Position summary: This role offers a starting base wage of $18.75 per hour with an additional $2.00 per hour shift differential for a total of $20.75 per hour. The Warehouser is responsible for receiving, storing, handling, and preparing materials and finished goods for shipment to support manufacturing and distribution operations. This role ensures accurate inventory control, safe material handling, and timely fulfillment of shipping and production needs.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities
- Receive incoming raw materials, hoses, fittings, and supplies; verify quantities against invoices and packing slips and report discrepancies or damage to the supervisor immediately.
- Weigh incoming boxes and skids to confirm quantities; repackage or re-skid materials as required.
- Put away materials in assigned storage locations and pull orders from racks per shipping or production instructions.
- Prepare skids for shipment: weigh, label, secure, and stage for pickup. Break down pallets for partial shipments when necessary.
- Work from shipping orders and perform final selection following inspection procedures.
- Create receipts, process stock transfers, and update inventory records in the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Maintain production support by supplying work-in-process items and raw materials to manufacturing areas.
- Perform dock duties including receiving, handling special-length items, processing returns, hose pulling, and managing in-transit material transactions.
- Perform light maintenance and daily inspections on forklifts, cherry pickers, and other material-handling equipment, report mechanical issues.
- Operate motorized material-handling equipment safely and hold any required licenses or certifications.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area and follow all safety policies and PPE requirements.
- Perform other duties at the same or lower classification level as assigned.
Qualifications
Required qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be able to read, write, understand English language
- Add, subtract, and basic math operations.
- Our manufacturing roles do have some minimum physical requirements; standing for 8+ hours, ability to wear PPE (safety shoes, eye protection, hearing protection, safety vests, and gloves), the ability to hear audible warnings and indicators, ability to perform repetitive motions including use of hands to bend tubing & connect hose assemblies, sorting items by size shape and color, pushing, pulling, kneeling, squatting, and occasionally lifting objects up to 45 pounds.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience in hose, fittings, or manufacturing supply chain environments.
- OSHA 10 or equivalent safety training.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) or similar inventory modules.
