The Production Supervisor organizes and supports the activities of our production team members to safely provide quality finished goods to customers, while ensuring operational excellence at one of our most profitable manufacturing sites.
Responsibilities
• Supervise 20-25 hourly team members.• Champion safety, which will include participating in Emergency Response measures.• Create daily schedule and provide counsel to Production Specialist and Operators to ensure maximum efficiency.• Support high performance teams through effective data collection, analysis, and problem resolution.• Lead and/or participate in Continuous Improvement projects along with actively promoting and implementing Lean Manufacturing techniques.• Provide regular feedback to employees, including documented coaching and counseling as needed.• Develop and maintain positive team member relationships to preserve the issue free culture of the facility.• Operate a forklift.• Support the training and development of team members.• Stand (up to 95 of the time), bend 90 degrees (up to 50 of the time), walk (up to 75 of the time), push/pull (up to 75 of the time), lift (up to 50 of the time), and climb stairs (up to 25 of the time).• Support Inventory Control measures of the plant to ensure inventory accuracy.
Qualifications
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED• Five years of manufacturing experience with increasing responsibility.PREFERRED• Five years of chemical plant experience with increasing responsibility. • Leadership experience and/or successful completion of a leadership program.
EDUCATION REQUIRED• B.S. in Business, Engineering, or a related field if less than five years of experience.PREFERRED• B.S. in Chemical Engineering or a related technical field.
