Product Portfolio Manager

Purpose of the role
The Ancillary Revenue Product Portfolio Manager will play a key role in defining the strategy, optimization, and management of the ancillary (non-ticket) portfolio consisting of multiple core, partner, and value-added products. She/he will be responsible for generating incremental ancillary revenue, which is a significant and growing source of income for Wizz Air.
Responsibilities
- Managing the portfolio of ancillary streams, such as products and services, offered by Wizz Air and its partners.
- Analyzing and rigorously understanding each product definition, complexity, and touchpoint performance with the goal of defining and implementing actions for continuous performance improvement.
- Implementation and impact measurement of digital optimizations on all channels, in cooperation with the Digital Development Team.
- Definition, value estimation, and prioritization of the digital development backlog, in cooperation with the Digital Revenue Product Manager.
- Exploring business and consumer behavior trends, analyzing profitability, and building recommendations for senior management.
- Managing implementation of internal projects for existing ancillary revenue enhancements of Wizz Air products and partners (e.g., improvements of sales coverage, better conversion, enhancement in collection rates, and increase in unit revenue).
- Daily performance monitoring of each product in the portfolio, ensuring performance meets or exceeds budget expectations.
- Monthly benchspaning of competitor ancillary service offers and fee levels.
- Taking responsibility and managing key partnership accounts:
- Managing tenders, partner selection, and contracting.
- Maintaining relationships with partner account managers.
- Monitoring financial performance.
- Supervising invoicing/payables/receivables.
- Continuously identifying improvement opportunities for each partnership.
- Working with the team to constantly improve sales conversion rates and drive ancillary unit revenue improvement.
- Managing the full product development process from concept definition to business case preparation and project management of implementation.
- Identifying new partner ancillary revenue opportunities, defining business cases, negotiating commercial terms, and managing cross-functional implementation of the identified partners.
- Collaborating with the Marketing Team on product spaneting and the Operations Team on cost-saving opportunities.
- Defining and improving cross-functional processes to maximize ancillary revenue and customer convenience.
- Identifying new industry trends and technological innovations with the aim of potentially integrating them into the business.
- Participating and representing the Ancillary Revenue Team in cross-functional projects, as delegated.
Experience
3-5+ years overall working experience, with 2+ years experience in a multinational environment, preferably in a creative business development role or aviation
