This Next Generation Interceptor (NGI) Kill Vehicle (KV) Program Director position provides program management and leadership of the NGI KV Segment of the contract and high-rate manufacturing effort, with the Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) Business Area. The Program Director will report to the VP of NGI and will operate with the larger LM Space SMD and MFC teams to achieve overall program objectives.

What You Will Be Doing:

As the KV Director, you will report to the NGI Vice President and interface with the program team, customers, and Lockheed Martin senior leadership to provide timely and accurate program execution and status. You will report to the Vice President in a key delivery role. In addition to execution and performance to commitments, you will be a part of the program’s strategic planning, business sustainment, and growth.

In this role will offer you the following daily key responsibilities:

The Program Manager (PM) will be responsible for cost, schedule, technical, and risk management to delivery on contract requirements. The PM will be responsible for development, testing, high-rate manufacture, logistics, and integration to achieve rapid operational fielding of the NGI weapon system within the Ground-Based Midcourse Defense (GMD) enterprise. The PM will assemble, coordinate, and lead all program management functions including contracts, finance, planning, as well as product development organizations to develop, execute and manage the Program Management Baseline (PMB) including judicial use of Management Reserve. The PM will manage change via ECPs and CCBs, and will support new acquisition requests via ROMs and proposals as required. The PM will build and cultivate effective and positive working relationships at senior levels across the LM enterprise and a large Missile Defense Agency (MDA) customer set, operating in a joint and collaborative environment, to integrate customer requirements and deliver on mission objectives. Depending on business and mission needs, travel could be significant between major LM Space sites, suppliers, and MFC manufacturing facility in Troy, AL.

This position does not support teleworking; the preferred candidate will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility in either:
• Denver, CO ,
• Rocket City USA: Huntsville/Courtland AL ,
or
• Sunnyvale, CA,
and be expected to work in the office.
Basic Qualifications:
To be successful, you will need to possess these basic qualifications:

• Demonstrated ability to establish and sustain an effective set of Program Management techniques to effectively deliver products & services with successful cost/schedule performance
• Demonstrated effective use of metrics, business rhythm, and reporting/communication techniques to effectively manage large-scale (>$250M) profit/loss effort
• Demonstrated ability to assemble and lead a large diverse team, often leading through influence versus direct reporting chains.
• Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships and collaborate closely with DoD customers to effectively establish and operate to the program management baseline, effect win-win solutions, and manage risk and change effectively
• Demonstrated ability to lead from the front, take a hands-on leadership role, lead teams through challenging times, establishing effective communication channels, and allowing appropriate levels of empowerment
• Ability to Travel.
• You will need to be a US Citizen, and currently possess and be able to maintain a US SECRET clearance, and able to obtain a TOP SECRET clearance, to support this government contract, as well as successfully pass a drug and background check, in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

• Demonstrated capabilities across all Lockheed Martin Full Spectrum Leadership imperatives
• NGI program knowledge and customer interface experience
• High-Rate missile manufacturing experience
• LM MFC knowledge and experience, especially at the Troy, AL manufacturing facility

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $180,000 - $287,500. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidates work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as spanet and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible.
