As Manager Business Support, you will develop, lead and oversee the dnata Travel Group Business Support function, to enable the delivery of the divisional strategy and associated performance targets. You will direct the structure, plan and performance of the Business Support unit comprised of the Strategic Projects Office, Strategy planning and tracking, Performance improvement, Business intelligence and data analytics, Tech product solutions, Sustainability & Corporate Social Responsibility, Risk management and Facilities management.
You will drive the business support strategy to develop common ways of working across the global community of the Product and BI teams, together with alignment to IT. This is a full-time role and is based in our Dubai office.
In this role, you will:
- Define and develop the dnata Travel Group strategic planning framework, engaging with the Executive Team to translate the framework into a set of strategy business plans, including a portfolio of strategic projects.
- Define the product strategy and roadmaps for dnata Travel Group, ensuring alignment with Emirates Group IT principles and architecture. Define performance objectives consistent with the dnata Travel Group strategy, and manage reporting of KPIs to measure revenue, profitability, productivity, and operational efficiency.
- Drive informed decision making across dnata Travel Group through the definition and development of a business intelligence and analytics strategy and deployment plan.
- Lead the Strategic Projects Office (SPO) to ensure the project portfolio aligns to the strategic direction and project management governance model.
- Assess suitable technology solutions and roadmap for the current and future needs of dnata Travel Group; measure and track return on investment post implementation.
- Develop state of the art products that enhance the customer experience and improve efficiencies.
- Manage the Business Intelligence function for dnata Travel Group, with a focus on business insight and performance; assume the role of data steward and ensure there is a clear roadmap for the development of analytics capabilities.
- Manage the Sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility practice for dnata Travel Group, ensuring alignment with dnata principles and aspirations.
- Manage and lead the Business Support team to ensure ongoing skill development and competence building, keeping the team’s engagement, and alignment to business objectives.
- Management of UAE facilities to ensure cost effective utilisation and suitability of across dnata Travel Group businesses.
- As a member of the dnata Travel Group Executive Management Team, role model a culture of open communication, clear direction, accountability, collaboration and performance management to promote a culture of continuous improvement.
- Partnering with the division’s senior management to deploy initiatives to ensure higher levels of productivity and cost efficiency across all businesses and support functions.
QualificationTo be considered for the role, you must meet the below requirements:
- Bachelors degree or Honours in related field.
- Minimum 10+ Years of experience in Commercial/ Sales/ other relevant domain.
- Work experience in Strategy, PMO.
- Experienced leader of people, including virtual teams and able to influence senior stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience managing large cross-functional projects with accountability for driving and implementing strategic change.
- In depth knowledge of the functioning of all areas of a large organisation; with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with powerful ability to persuade and influence people, and manage stakeholders, internally and externally, at all levels.
You will have an edge, if you have:
- Experience of P&L and business ownership.
- Background in management consulting.
