Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for a Flightline Operations Paint Manager (Level K) (2nd Shift) to join our EDC Paint Operations team in Everett, WA.
This assignment will support the Everett Delivery Center Decorative Paint team. The candidate will lead hourly employees to maintain scheduled loads into Everett Delivery centers. This position provides a unique opportunity to lead Paint Teams through the application of our customer airline exterior decorative livery from layout through customer presentation and acceptance.
This position will require the candidate to use their business, leadership and people skills to inspire a safe work environment and exceptional performance to develop and execute business plans, policies and procedures. Successful candidates must be able to develop and maintain relationships with customers, stakeholders, cross-functional support and direct reports.
Position Responsibilities:
- Manage, develop, and motivate employees by leveraging best practices and employee feedback.
- Ensures that air vehicles are completed and pass certification for airworthiness by overseeing final paint installation, modification, repair, and preparation for delivery.
- Interfaces with flight crews, engineering, management, suppliers, and customers to meet product requirements and ensure customer acceptance.
- Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and meets operational goals including quality, on time delivery, and cost.
- Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
- Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, process improvements, and lean principles.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):
- 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- 3+ years of experience leading teams
- 3+ years of experience working in cross functional teams
- Must be willing and able to work any shift (Must be able & willing to work various shifts and/or an alternate baseline schedule that may frequently change to support mission requirements and may include weekends and holidays; mission requirements and/or workload may require both scheduled and unscheduled overtime
- Ability to pass and complete fall protection training and work with heights of seventy feet or more and not exceed weight restrictions
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience):
- 1+ years of experience with finishing and painting in either aircraft, automotive or marine industries
- 1+ year of experience working with live customers
- 1+ year of proficiency using CMES
- Holds a current government security clearance
- A&P license or the ability to obtain an Airmen Repair Certificate
- 1+ years of experience using Microsoft Office Products such as Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint

Summary pay range (Level K) - $126,700 - $138,000
