Job Title: Structures TechnicianJob Description
We are seeking skilled Structures Technicians to join our team at a state-of-the-art facility. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in sheet metal and composite work, with a focus on corporate, commercial, or military aircraft. This role involves detailed rebuilds and structural modifications, working closely with avionics technicians.
Responsibilities
- Remove and install aircraft components, landing gear doors, access panels, and fairings.
- Document work performed per appropriate manuals.
- Perform component repairs in accordance with Repair Station Certificate requirements.
- Fabricate aircraft parts and ground support equipment per engineering drawings and specifications.
- Fabricate and install structural modifications on aircraft.
- Assist in conducting hidden damage inspections.
- Apply cleaning solvent and sealing compounds as per maintenance manuals.
- Comply with all environmental health and safety policies and procedures.
- Inspect parts for warranty consideration as required by site.
Essential Skills- 2+ years of experience performing structures work on military fixed wing/corporate aircraft/CRJs.
- Sheet metal/composite SC tech school or equivalent experience.
- Basic knowledge of reading and interpreting aircraft blueprints, drawings, diagrams, and manuals.
- Working knowledge of aircraft systems and maintenance manuals.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair aircraft deficiencies and perform complex structural repairs.
- Proficiency in operating basic sheet metal support equipment.
- Basic set of hand tools.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- A&P license preferred but not required.
- 4+ years experience, with 2-3 years on corporate aircraft.
- Ability to work overtime if available.
- Blueprint reading skills preferred but not required.

Work Environment
Work in a clean, indoor corporate business jet repair facility featuring two hangars. The environment emphasizes professionalism, cleanliness, and safety, as customers are often present. Teams consist of 8-10 mechanics under one lead, with leads reporting to a Project Manager.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Windsor Locks, Connecticut.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
