Summary:
Perform inspections, maintenance, and repairs of moderate to advanced complexity on mid-to-large size aircraft systems and structures.
Work with minimal supervision while ensuring compliance with FAA and internal inspection standards.
Coordinate aircraft movement and support less experienced technicians.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment using Lean/6S practices.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED
One of the following:
FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificate and 2 years of aviation maintenance experience
OR 4 years of aviation maintenance experience, including 2 years working on mid/large-size aircraft
Valid Drivers License
Working knowledge of:
FAA regulations
Process specifications
Repair Station and Quality Control manuals
Company maintenance policies and procedures
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
Ability to complete documentation accurately (CMP cards, work order sign-offs, etc.)
Proficient in operating ground support equipment (e.g., power carts, hydraulic mules, tow tugs)
Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
Preferred Skills:
Experience supporting flight tests and final phase testing
Familiarity with Lean/continuous improvement and 6S workplace practices
Experience training or mentoring less experienced technicians
Ability to work effectively in hangar and ramp environments
Strong understanding of safe storage and handling of aircraft components and customer property
