The Patriot Vehicle Maintenance Consultant will prepare heavy vehicle maintenance schedules and plans and provide administrative supervision for the standard maintenance facility. This individual will perform as the senior advisor for Royal Saudi Arabi Defense Forces (RSADF) for issues related to vehicle maintenance, review technical manuals, changes, updates, and will provide recommendations to RSADF as appropriate. The maintenance consultant will also inspect SMP workshops to ensure compliance with RSADF vehicle maintenance work procedures and will observe and evaluate workshop procedures and makes recommendations regarding safety and efficiency to the section officer. The individual will assist the RSADF with the evaluation and selection of new vehicle technician candidates, performs research and remain current on the latest modifications and developments to vehicles in use by the RSADF. The maintenance consultant will analyze technical issues and provide solution reports to the RSADF, as well as assist with spare parts planning and logistics. Performs other work-related duties as required by the maintenance officer. The position is in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Required Skills:
- Ability to communicate and transfer knowledge.
- Conduct on-the-job training courses.
- Skilled in using and filling work forms and extracting spare parts requests.
- Skilled in the use of fault-diagnosing devices.
- Must be able to use a computer.
- Skilled in reading engineering drawings, and electrical circuits.
- Must have a minimum of eight (8) years of working experience in vehicles and heavy machinery maintenance and quality assurance operations in a management or supervisory position.
- Must be able to obtain a Saudi Arabia work visa.
- Must have hands-on experience in engine overhauls, with a focus on Family of Medium Tactical Vehicles (FMTV), Light Medium Tactical Vehicles (LMTV) and Heavy Expanded Mobility Tactical Trucks (HEMTTs).
Desired Skills:
A minimum of five (5) years’ experience with military standard 6016 and 3011C over IP-enabled networks and experience working the Network Design Facilities (NDF)
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or technical training in vehicle engines, mechanics, fabrication or industrial engineering or a diploma with equivalent working experience or (2) two additional years for each (1) year of higher education.
Must have a minimum of 4 years of field maintenance experience in isolating and correcting malfunctions in the Patriot system, or a High School Degree/GED with equivalent job-related experience based on four (4) additional years of experience for each one (1) year of higher education.
Skills & Certifications
Specialized diploma in vehicles (diesel) from a college or institute recognized local or foreign, or high school degree (general/industrial) with courses in the field of heavy vehicles.

Typically requires:
A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience
Engineering/Other Technical Positions:
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
