Description: You will be the Mechanical Engineer Associate Manager for our team. Our team is responsible for designing and completing modifications on various military vehicle and aircraft platforms in support of the warfighter, as part of the Special Operations Forces Global Logistics Support Services (SOFGLSS) contract.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Mechanical Engineer Associate Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of mechanical engineers to design and complete modifications on military vehicle and aircraft platforms, with the mission to rapidly and properly equip the SOF community and its warfighters with the best possible systems and equipment.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Designing and completing modifications on military vehicle and aircraft platforms to meet the evolving needs of the warfighter.
- Leading a team of mechanical engineers to ensure the successful completion of projects and programs.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements and ensure compliance with customer needs.
- Developing and implementing engineering plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure project success.
- Ensuring that all projects and programs are completed with the highest level of quality, safety, and efficiency.

Basic Qualifications:
*Experience managing large projects and multi-discipline teams
*Experience with 3D parametric modeling in CATIA, SolidWorks or similar software.
*Experience with creation, review, and approval of engineering change documentation
*Experience creating ANSI/ASME Y14.100 compliant drawings
*Experience with Microsoft office suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
*Strong communication and presentation skills
Desired Skills:
Experience working in an aerospace
environment.
Experience with Catia V5, Creo, SolidWorks or
other 3D parametric modeling program.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
