Education & Job Requirements
* You must have:
* A High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
* A minimum of 3 years of experience inspecting major aircraft structural modifications and alterations.
* The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical instructions.
* The ability to read and write in English.
* The ability to use and interpret precision measurement instruments, including micrometers and calipers.
* The ability to obtain required certifications and qualifications and complete annual recertification, including solder, torque, ESD, bonding, and oxygen.
* Working knowledge of major aircraft systems and assemblies.
* Interpersonal skills necessary to work effectively with a variety of individuals and departments.
* The ability to comply with applicable Code of Federal Regulations related to aircraft certification and production. Preferred Skills
* You will have:
* A minimum of 1 year of mechanical inspection and/or avionics or electrical installation inspection experience.
* A minimum of 1 year of experience conforming aircraft and aerospace products.
* Functional test knowledge on aircraft systems, including cabin air, fuel system pressure checks, and electrical resistance testing. Job Duties & Functions
* You will be able to:
* Perform progressive, in-process, preliminary, hidden damage, and final inspections of aircraft structures, assemblies, installations, interiors, and paint.
* Inspect sheet metal subassemblies, major assemblies, and installations to ensure compliance with engineering specifications and drawings.
* Document discrepancies, determine root cause, and coordinate resolution with operations, methods, and engineering teams.
* Verify conformity of production visual aids, planning documents, and methods technical instructions to current engineering specifications and aircraft effectiveness.
* Conform to details, subassemblies, assemblies, installations, and ground functional tests in accordance with engineering specifications, methods, technical instructions, and CFR Part 21.33.
* Witness and inspect assembly, installation, and functional testing of aircraft components and systems per applicable engineering and production specifications.
* Ensure all inspection paperwork, logs, and records are complete and compliant with quality system and engineering requirements.
* Verify discrepancies are completed or properly resolved prior to flight in accordance with regulatory and customer requirements.
* Prepare and maintain maintenance records, inspection records, aircraft logs, and functional test documentation.
* Assist other inspectors in the performance of their duties within assigned areas of qualification.
* Ensure required training, certifications, and qualifications remain current.
