Job Title: Structures Technician
Job DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Structures Technician to join our team at a state-of-the-art facility. This role involves performing structures work on military fixed-wing, corporate aircraft, and CRJs. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with sheet metal work, including repair and fabrication, and will collaborate closely with avionics technicians on complex modifications and upgrades.
Responsibilities
- Remove and install aircraft components, landing gear doors, access panels, and fairings related to structure repair/modification.
- Document work performed per appropriate manuals.
- Perform component repairs in accordance with Repair Station Certificate requirements.
- Fabricate aircraft parts and ground support equipment per engineering drawings and specifications.
- Fabricate and install structural modifications on aircraft.
- Assist in conducting hidden damage inspections.
- Apply cleaning solvent and sealing compound according to maintenance and structural repair manuals.
- Comply with all environmental health and safety policies and procedures.
- Inspect parts for warranty consideration as required.
Essential Skills- 2+ years of experience performing structures work on military fixed-wing, corporate aircraft, or CRJs.
- Sheet metal/composite SC tech school or equivalent experience.
- Basic set of hand tools.
- Knowledge of reading and interpreting aircraft blueprints, drawings, diagrams, and manuals.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing aircraft deficiencies and performing complex structural repairs.
- Skill to proficiently operate basic sheet metal support equipment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- A&P license preferred.
- Blueprint reading preferred.
- Willingness to work overtime if available.
- 4+ years of experience (2-3 years on corporate aircraft).

Work Environment
Work in a clean, indoor corporate business jet repair facility with two hangars for Challenger, Global, and Lear aircraft. Collaborate in teams of 8-10 mechanics under one lead, with approximately 10-12 leads reporting to a PM. Professionalism, cleanliness, and safety are critical as customers are often present with their aircraft.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Windsor Locks, Connecticut.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
