Job Title: Aircraft Structural Mechanic
Job DescriptionJoin an exciting opportunity to work on the F-18 program for the Navy, where San Antonio will serve as the hub for service life modification of the F-18 aircraft. You will be part of a team working on Block 3 modifications, transforming these aircraft into 5th generation fighters, the most tactical aircraft in the U.S. Navy inventory.
Responsibilities
- Perform depot-level and heavy checks on various aircraft.
- Conduct equipment overhauls and modifications.
- Work on sheet-metal modifications and structural repairs.
- Address corrosion issues and implement structural solutions.
- Utilize high locks and other specialized techniques in aircraft modifications.
Essential Skills- Minimum of 5 - 7 years of recent experience in depot-level and heavy checks on aircraft.
- Proficiency in performing aircraft modifications and equipment overhauls.
- Experience with military aircraft, particularly F/A-18E, F/A-18F, and Super Hornet models.
- Familiarity with structural and sheet-metal modifications.
- Knowledge of corrosion control and high locks.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Experience with Air Force, Navy, or Marine Corps aircraft.
- Previous work with Boeing or similar defense contractors.

Work Environment
The work environment includes two shifts: 1st Shift from Monday to Friday, 5:30 am to 2:30 pm, and 2nd Shift from Monday to Friday, 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm, with optional overtime. Work will take place in an open-bay, non-climate-controlled setting. Employees have the option to expense $100 per year for steel-toed shoes. Flexibility to work any shift is required.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
