Make an Impact in Aerospace InnovationPDS Tech Commercial is seeking a skilled Aircraft Electrical Mechanic to join our elite JAWACS team. In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of aircraft electrical systems modification and maintenance—ensuring mission-critical readiness and safety for advanced aerospace platforms.
Must be eligible to obtain a Security Clearance.
What You’ll Do- Perform electrical modifications on and off aircraft, including complex connector terminations (shielded wires, coaxial cables, fiber optics).
- Interpret engineering drawings, technical orders, and retrofit requirements to execute precise electrical repairs.
- Troubleshoot and test aircraft electrical and environmental systems.
- Install, seal, wrap, and route wire harnesses and cables per standard processes.
- Conduct operational and quality checks, ensuring compliance with DOD and company directives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (General Mechanics, Structures, Avionics) to meet project goals.
- Train and mentor junior team members; may lead teams on complex tasks.
- Maintain certifications and adhere to safety protocols, including Lock Out/Tag Out procedures.
What You BringRequired:
- 4+ years of experience in aircraft electrical systems and modifications.
- Strong understanding of electrical/electronic theories and systems.
- Ability to work rotating shifts and lift up to 35 lbs.
- High school diploma or GED.
Preferred:
- Experience with Depot Level/Modification maintenance.
- Ability to operate forklifts, mobile cranes, and electric-powered elevating equipment.
