Boeing Commercial Airplane (BCA) is looking for a Senior Supplier Quality Specialist to join the Structures Team at a major structure’s supplier based in Stuart, FL.
The BCA Structures Team is focused on driving improved performance across our major structure’s suppliers based in the US, Asia and Italy. This US based role reports to the BCA Supplier Quality Structures Manager based in Stuart, FL.
This Senior Quality Specialist role requires the ability to state what is needed to persuade and convince others without causing defensiveness and to inspire others to act. The ideal candidate will hold the ability to build relationships to gain support and commitment from others and promote ideas with enthusiasm and conviction. They will have the ability to provide compelling rationale for arguments and use appropriate levels of persistence to meet objectives.
Position Responsibilities:
Leads audits and assessments of complex supplier systems, processes and products
Leads special or high-visibility audits/assessments of suppliers systems, processes and products
Documents and reports audit and assessment results
Delegates product acceptance responsibility to suppliers
Assesses the capability and capacity of suppliers to perform current or potential future work
Provides education and coaching on quality systems, regulatory compliance issues and company initiatives
Develops training materials and other resources to support improvements in supplier performance and productivity
Consults with enterprise, industry, customers or regulatory agencies to establish requirements for the performance of supplier audits and assessments
Develops and maintains standard audit and assessment processes
Participates with industry partners, customers and regulatory agencies to develop and implement product acceptance standards
Interprets future business needs to identify areas of development for improving the performance and productivity of the supplier base
This position is expected to be 100 onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Stuart, FL.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
5+ years of experience performing compliance monitoring and policy assessments/audits
5+ years of experience using Root Cause Corrective Action Methodology or the Boeing Problem Solving Model
5+ years of experience in the application of AS9100
5+ years of experience in aircraft structures manufacturing processes
5+ years of experience working with Quality and/or Safety Corrective Action/Preventative Action, Root Cause Corrective Actions
Experience communicating effectively with both technical and business stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s Degree or higher
5+ years of experience working in Quality, Supplier Quality or Supplier Management
Experience in knowledge of various quality tools and processes such as APQP, FMEA, control plans, SPC, FAI, RCCA
Experience in knowledge of AS9102 and AS9145
Experience in Lean or lean six sigma (leading or co-leading teams with value stream mapping and shop floor standard work events)
Experience in knowledge of project management best practices and processes
Experience developing supplier improvement plans and strategies, providing training, and coaching
Experience developing and managing strong relationships with partners (internal & external), and suppliers

Summary Pay Range: $102,850 - $139,150
