Role Summary
* In this role, you will support aircraft tooling and material operations by maintaining a controlled tool crib environment and ensuring all tooling, materials, and supplies are properly managed in accordance with company and customer requirements. You will be responsible for inventory accuracy, material movement, tool control, and coordination with suppliers and internal customers to support production schedules. Regular and predictable attendance is required, and successful completion of required training is a contingency of employment. Education & Job Requirements
* You must have
* High school diploma or GED.
* A minimum of 2 years of experience working with stockroom or crib procedures.
* A minimum of 3 years of experience working in a computer-based inventory management system or warehouse management system.
* A minimum of 1 year of experience managing aspects of Government property including acquisition, receiving, identification, movement, disposition, contract closeout, subcontractor control, records, utilization, and physical inventory.
* Experience using warehouse and material handling equipment.
* Computer experience with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
* Ability to support rotating shifts, including first and second shift assignments.
* Ability to read, write, and comprehend the English language.
* Ability to obtain and maintain required training certifications.
* Ability to handle, use, and dispose of hazardous materials in accordance with procedures. Job Duties & Functions
* You will be able to
* Process, verify, route, store, order, deliver, track, and maintain supplies and materials in accordance with prescribed procedures.
* Perform shipping, receiving, inspecting, driving, and material handling tasks using company equipment.
* Read and interpret work orders, requisition part lists, specifications, and shipping and receiving documentation.
* Document and maintain material requisitions and picking instructions.
* Apply basic mathematics to count, add, subtract, and inventory parts and supplies.
* Set up and operate hand tools and material handling equipment as required.
* Fabricate special containers for shipment of parts per company and customer specifications.
* Operate company vehicles and ground support equipment to deliver and store materials.
* Input, retrieve, and interpret inventory and tracking data using computer systems.
* Operate barcode readers, pan stock counting equipment, packing equipment, and banding equipment.
* Operate overhead cranes, hoists, forklifts, side loaders, and tow motors.
* Maintain tools, equipment, and assigned work areas.
* Consolidate parts and assemble kits including parts kits, hazardous material kits, and tooling kits.
* Prepare materials and parts for storage according to established procedures.
* Stock and issue parts and crib items including sealers and hazardous materials.
* Perform rough cutting and non-angular cutting of materials such as tubing.
* Store and retrieve materials from high storage locations using picker equipment.
* Verify received materials against documentation and report discrepancies or damage.
* Conduct inventory counts and report material deterioration or damage.
* Remove, issue, and prepare materials for shipment.
* Comply with health and safety regulations, tool control, FOD prevention, housekeeping, inventory control, and quality requirements.
* Review production schedules to ensure sufficient materials and hardware availability.
* Analyze material requirements, inventory levels, and scheduling needs to support quality, cost, and delivery objectives.
* Perform additional duties as assigned by supervision or management. Physical Requirements
* Able to
* Ascend and descend vertical ladders and work in confined spaces.
* Lift loads of approximately 35 pounds, with occasional two-person lifts for weights greater than 50 pounds.
* Work on elevated platforms and in environments with frequent noise exposure.
* Wear required personal protective equipment for eyes, face, ears, hands, and arms.
* Pass visual acuity and color perception testing.
* Perform frequent standing, walking, reaching overhead, balancing, and bending.
* Perform occasional climbing, crawling, squatting, and stooping.
* Perform finger manipulation tasks for up to 1 to 3 hours.
* Operate foot controls and maintain various body positions for extended periods.
