We are working in partnership with a global aircraft manufacturer and logistics provider, to recruit a Logistics Project Manager for their Mobile, AL 3PL support facility. This individual will work closely with the Sr. Logistics Engineer to design and define logistics flows. In addition, they will be tasked with developing and deploying new logistic activities or making changes to existing processes as well as identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities. The role requires close collaboration with clients, internal teams, and external partners to develop and implement innovative solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Design and define logistics flows and the associated means necessary to execute them.
- Create, update, and maintain work instructions, processes, and supporting documents.
- Contribute to the deployment of new logistics activities and/or changes to existing logistics activities.
- Identify opportunities to change logistics methods to improve efficiency and quality.
- Build strong relationships and trust with the operations team and the customer.
- Interact with the engineering and projects team on other Daher sites (North America, Europe) to share best practices, benchmark progress, experience, challenges, and standards.
- Lead the methods portion of new projects on logistics activities (activity transfers, process improvement, logistics flows/means modification, etc.).
- Develop efficiency and accuracy in logistics activities.
Optimization Responsibilities:
- Conduct studies on logistics processes at customer sites and Group sites to optimize storage, flows, and organization.
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative studies of logistics flow chains from data collection, analysis, and interpretation, with a focus on rationalization and optimization (quality, profitability, deadlines, safety).
- Conduct operational audits on logistics flow chains.
- Support implementation of new logistics systems.
- Conduct logistics investment studies (ROI calculation, etc.).
