Role Summary
* In this role, you will support the design, manufacture, test, and sustainment of weapons systems by performing Reliability, Maintainability, and System Health (RM&SH) engineering activities. You will analyze requirements, develop reliability programs, perform failure analysis, support design teams, interface with customers and stakeholders, and contribute to proposal and program execution efforts for weapons programs. Education & Job Requirements
* You must have
* A Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or a non-U.S. equivalent qualification directly related to the work statement.
* A minimum of 9 years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience.
* Experience with Reliability, Maintainability, and System Health engineering principles, including requirements, predictions, and performance.
* Experience with Failure Reporting, Analysis, and Corrective Action Systems.
* Experience performing failure analysis.
* Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams at multiple organizational levels in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
* Experience using Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
* Regular and predictable attendance.
* Successful completion of required training, including on-the-job or formal classroom training. Preferred Skills
* You will have
* Experience implementing Systems Engineering V processes on a product.
* Experience with systems engineering requirements and verification activities.
* Ability to lead by influence outside of formal reporting relationships.
* A minimum of 2 years of Reliability, Maintainability, and System Health experience.
* A minimum of 2 years of experience performing Failure Mode and Effects Analysis, Reliability and Maintainability predictions, and/or reliability testing activities.
* A Master’s degree in Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Systems Engineering, or a related discipline. Job Duties & Functions
* You will be able
* Analyze customer-provided requirements and develop reliability engineering programs to meet customer reliability objectives.
* Allocate top-level quantitative reliability requirements to design teams and perform reliability predictions to track performance.
* Analyze projected product utilization and calculate cumulative impacts on system reliability.
* Perform Failure Mode and Effects Analysis and develop mathematical models to identify failure and safety risks.
* Develop and utilize computer models to analyze, predict, and improve system reliability.
* Develop, administer, and maintain Failure Reporting and Corrective Action System databases.
* Participate in Failure Review Board meetings with internal and external stakeholders, including government customers.
* Provide reliability guidance and recommendations to design teams and management.
* Interface with customers and management during major design reviews to present reliability findings.
* Determine environmental test profiles, define test objectives, and establish success criteria.
* Provide reliability inputs to proposals and evaluate subcontractor reliability programs.
* Review engineering specifications and drawings and recommend design improvements.
* Support proposal and program activities impacting Reliability and Maintainability scope.
* Provide technical support to weapons programs, including SDB, JDAM, and missile programs.
