The 787 Airplane Level Integration Team (ALIT - Engineering Operations) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Systems Engineer with extensive Development Assurance and Safety Engineering experience to support the 787 Program in Everett, WA. This will be a lead engineer position on the team.
This position is responsible for creating sustainable processes to support development assurance, process integration, and a culture of safety for the 787 Program. This will include process development, process writing, and coordination of process adoption across all affected IPTs. This person will also be expected to lead the team in their day-to-day activities.
Position Responsibilities:
- Manages process writing, particularly in the areas of Development Assurance and Safety Engineering
- Leads and administers team’s daily technical work statement
- Coordinates process changes with IPT and drives change at the program level
- Works with manager to provide 787 Director of Engineering (DoE) with status on incorporation of new processes
- Functions as a SME for Development Assurance (DA) processes to standardize across BCA
- Supports Configuration Management Health Assessments (CMHA) for 787 Partners that require Systems Engineering input
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
- Strong familiarity with ARP 4754, Rev A and Development Assurance processes
- A history of successful leadership in project management
- Effective communication, organization and team-oriented skills
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Experience with Boeing Commercial Aircraft products
- Training as a Technical Lead Engineer (TLE)
- Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Summary pay range Senior: $128,350 - $173,650
