Role Summary
* In this role, you will provide engineering leadership to multidisciplinary project teams supporting research, development, and business initiatives. You will develop and manage statements of work, lead project execution, coordinate resources, manage risks, and ensure project objectives are achieved while meeting cost, schedule, and performance commitments. Education & Job Requirements
* You must have
* A Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
* A minimum of 3 years of experience leading or managing multi-disciplinary engineering project teams.
* Education and experience typically acquired through advanced technical education and a minimum of 9 years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience.
* Regular and predictable attendance.
* Successful completion of required training, including on-the-job or formal classroom training. Preferred Skills
* You will have
* Project Management Professional certification.
* Experience with proposal development and contract negotiations.
* Experience with export compliance or international programs.
* Experience developing and tracking program plans, schedules, and budgets for technical projects.
* Project management experience in an engineering environment.
* Experience in engineering project planning or project management.
* Experience supporting weapons systems.
* Experience working directly with government customers.
* Experience collaborating across functions and organizations. Job Duties & Functions
* You will be able
* Provide engineering leadership to teams representing multiple skill areas, including internal and external resources and customers.
* Develop statements of work to support research, development, and business requirements.
* Work with customers and management to obtain approval of statements of work.
* Assess and negotiate changes to statements of work, including impacts to deliverables, resources, cost, and schedule.
* Lead project execution to ensure completion of defined work statements.
* Identify and track performance metrics to assess project performance.
* Plan, identify, and coordinate resources required over the life of the project or program.
* Define and manage plans for risk mitigation and opportunity capture.
* Compare actual results to baseline plans to evaluate performance, productivity, and lessons learned.
* Provide technical, business, and integration leadership for the development and execution of project plans.
