Collins Aerospace’s Resilient Connectivity Products (RCP) team is looking for an exceptionally motivated RF Electrical Engineer that is passionate about collaborating with high-performance teams to create mission critical solutions supporting Mission Systems. 

This position will sit at our Aguadilla, PR location. You must be residing in Puerto Rico at the time of starting employment. Relocation is not offered.

This role is categorized as hybrid, with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote following the schedule assigned by the Manager.

What YOU will do:

  • Design and development of transmitters, receivers, or exciters.
  • Design and optimization of RF circuits – either chains of components (receiver, exciter, etc.) or individual parts (filters, limiters, couplers, etc.).
  • Schematic capture and RF routing.
  • Technical support during the transition to production and support to production activities

Qualifications you must have:

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of prior work experience
  • Demonstrated professional experience communicating in English (verbal and written).
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (RF/Electronic Design Focus)
  • Experience with Microwave/RF system, subsystem and/or component analysis, design and/or test.
  • Experience with electromagnetic simulation tools (e.g., HFSS, ADS, Microwave Office, CST, and/or Mentor Graphics’ Xpedition) and analytical tools (e.g., MATLAB).
  • Experience working in design, from concept through production.
  • Experience translating system performance and operation specifications into hardware requirements, design, and test specifications.
  • Background in designing for manufacturability, producibility, and cost constraints, which includes yield and margin analysis.
  • Technical background in any of the following areas:
    • Cascade analysis and/or frequency planning
    • Filter design and fabrication
    • Circuit card assembly and fabrication
    • High speed data converter test / characterization
    • Low Noise RF source design and test experience
