Boeing Test & Evaluation is seeking a Metrology Technician to join our team in Mesa, Arizona!
The position requires a work week that includes Saturday and/or Sunday, or as required to work around the standard production work schedule. It is expected that the majority of expected work load will be on site at the equipment location, working closely with users to minimize down time. Any available time beyond that will be spent in lab supporting with calibrations as needed.
Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Associate and Mid-Level Metrology Technicians.
Position Responsibilities:
Use calibration standards to safely calibrate, adjust, certify and maintain Measurement and Test Equipment (M&TE) and/or process equipment onsite and in lab using approved calibration procedures, process specifications, equipment drawings to manufacturers performance specifications or user requirements; (e.g. Pyro, Mass/Weight, Pressure, Temperature, Torque, Tooling Certification, Volumetric and Physical/Dimensional)
Generates certificates of calibration and/or out of tolerance reports as required and in correct media appropriate to meet customer requirements
Maintains secondary or intrinsic and/or working calibration standards. Uses calibration software when required to expedite calibration times
Ensure that all work orders are closed out appropriately and contain the required data, reports, and documentation
Prioritize and perform work according to automated daily report list, hot list, or as assigned by higher grade technician
Provide information and clarification to customers on metrology processes
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
3+ years of experience calibrating and/or using Measurement and Test Equipment (M&TE)
1+ years of experience of performing calibration and/or repair of electronic equipment
Intermediate skills with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel (or equivalent tools), with the ability to perform calculations and analyze data in Excel
Able to lift, push, and pull up to 35 pounds frequently within an 8 hour shift
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Level 3: 3 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Associates degree in Electronics/ electrical technician
Associates degree in a science or technical field
Precision metrology equipment lab training
3+ years of experience in performing calibrations in a Metrology laboratory

Summary Pay Range for Associate level (Level 2): $47,600 – $64,400
Summary Pay Range for Mid-level (Level 3): $55,250 – $74,750
