Role Summary
* In this role, you will provide materials, parts, and process engineering support for composite and interior composite aircraft components, ensuring compliance with contractual and regulatory obligations, promoting standardization, developing and qualifying new materials, parts, and processes, managing test and audit programs, and implementing corrective and preventive actions, with regular and predictable attendance required and successful completion of on-the-job or formal classroom training as a contingency of assignment. Education & Job Requirements
* You must have
* A Bachelor’s degree and A minimum of 5 years of experience in an engineering classification.
* OR A Master’s degree and A minimum of 3 years of experience in an engineering classification.
* OR A PhD degree with experience in an engineering classification.
* Experience with materials obsolescence.
* Experience analyzing data, compiling reports, and conducting testing.
* Experience with Boeing aircraft programs.
* Flammability experience.
* Flammability certification skills.
* Experience verifying that materials and joints meet FAA requirements.
* Experience drafting and authoring test plans.
* Experience drafting and authoring test reports.
* Ability to work primarily on a computer as a core responsibility.
* Ability to work under general direction. Job Duties & Functions

* Define requirements for materials, parts, and processes used in the manufacture of products.
* Produce specifications and other documents to manage the deployment of materials, parts, and processes.
* Maintain compliance with contractual and regulatory obligations.
* Promote standardization across business activities.
* Evaluate emerging technologies for potential application to business needs.
* Develop and qualify new materials, parts, and processes to meet requirements.
* Integrate new technologies as appropriate.
* Manage test and audit programs to qualify suppliers to applicable requirements.
* Conduct analysis to determine reasons for failures of materials, parts, or processes.
* Implement corrective and preventive actions.
* Design, develop, and qualify computer and production systems to satisfy user requirements.
* Support testing for new airplane deliveries and materials obsolescence.
* Draft and author test plans and test reports.
* Test materials and joints to verify compliance with FAA requirements.
* Work under general direction.
