Role Summary
* In this role, you will serve as a Nondestructive Evaluation Engineer supporting the Composite Materials and Nondestructive Evaluation Team. You will apply knowledge of materials and processes to inspect composites and metals, develop NDT inspection plans, qualify equipment and processes, and ensure compliance with technical, regulatory, and program requirements. You will work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary engineering teams to improve manufacturing processes, support certification efforts, and implement advanced inspection techniques across multiple aerospace platforms. Education & Job Requirements
* You must have
* A Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry.
* A minimum of 3 years of experience working in Nondestructive Evaluation (NDE). Preferred Skills
* You will have
* A minimum of 5 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
* ASNT Level 2 or 3 certifications in UT, RT, MT, PT, or ET.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills.
* Functional knowledge of instruments, systems, and software for ultrasonic inspection of composites, magnetic particle, penetrant, eddy current, and radiographical inspection.
* Knowledge of reference standard development and fabrication.
* Experience with robotics, 3D modelling, 3D printing, Computed Tomography (CT), and/or Ultrasonic Phased Array.
* Experience working in an engineering or scientific lab.
* Experience reading drawings and using Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, etc.). Job Duties & Functions
* You will be able
* Review and interpret ultrasonic inspection results.
* Design reference standards for inspections.
* Develop NDT inspection plans and sequencing.
* Review and approve internal and supplier inspection techniques.
* Develop and qualify NDT inspections and equipment.
* Assist with or define requirements for tools, equipment, materials, parts, and processes.
* Draft or produce engineering specifications and other documents.
* Interface across multiple engineering teams to align on inspection requirements, capabilities, and method selection.
* Support certification and qualification of NDE equipment.
* Support development, qualification, and deployment of new inspection processes, including standardization, documentation, and training.
* Support root cause and corrective action of NDT-related MRB to eliminate repetitive rework.
* Assess and improve manufacturing process inspections using NDT methods.
* Compile reports to document evaluations, results, interpretations, and new procedures.
* Develop computer and production systems to meet user requirements.
* Use project management tools to meet cost, technical, and schedule requirements.
* Work with direction/mentorship of Principal/Senior NDE engineers to implement NDE technologies.
* Maintain compliance with contractual and regulatory obligations.
* Promote standardization across business activities.
* Implement corrective and preventive actions.
* Incorporate environmental health and safety, LEAN, and Quality principles into materials, processes, research, design, work procedures, labs, and office areas. Physical Requirements

* Lift and carry loads as required for inspection tasks.
* Perform tasks requiring manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination in lab and manufacturing environments.
