Help Bring Aircraft to LifePDS Tech Commercial is hiring Flight Test Engineers to support the delivery and certification of commercial aircraft. In this hands-on, high-impact role, youll ensure the safe and successful execution of ground and flight testing for newly assembled aircraft before customer delivery.
Based in Mobile, AL, you’ll work closely with production, engineering, and test flight crews to validate each aircrafts readiness for service and contribute to quality, safety, and operational excellence.
What You’ll Be DoingExecute ground and flight tests to achieve Certificate of Airworthiness (CoA) and customer acceptance
Write and sign Flight Orders, Flight Crew Reports, and Technical Log Books
Calculate weight, balance, and takeoff data for each aircraft
Coordinate test classifications and support flight operations
Document and report any malfunctions or anomalies, ensuring proper resolution before next flights
Oversee aircraft through the testing and delivery phases, from production handover to customer sign-off
Partner with Ground Test Engineers for seamless delivery execution
Travel up to 30 for domestic and international assignments, including an initial overseas training period to obtain a Flight Test Engineer license
What You BringRequired Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Aircraft Construction Engineering, or equivalent experience
2+ years of hands-on experience as a Flight Test Engineer
8+ years in the aviation industry, preferably with experience on commercial aircraft platforms
Graduate of an EASA-approved Flight Test School or equivalent
Strong understanding of aircraft configuration management rules
Current and valid EASA, TCCA, or FAA Class 2 Medical Certificate
Familiarity with technical documentation such as Maintenance Manuals, Repair Manuals, and Parts Catalogs
Strong self-motivation, independence, and technical problem-solving skills
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.

Pay Details: $85.00 per hour
