Job Description Develop, document, catalog, and identify non-flight Electrical Special Test Equipment such as test cables, Electrical Racks, TVAC feedthrough hardware, and other board, box, instrument, and system level test sets. Draw cable interconnect diagrams; thermal vacuum plates and manage interface control documents. Assist in executing certification procedures for Electrical Test sets. Despite being in the Electrical Special Test Equipment (ESTE) department, this role will rely heavily on your mechanical design experience.

What You’ll Do:
- Develop CAD models of electronics designs and generate Cable designs, Schematics, Wirelists and detailed and assembly drawings.
- Develop bill of materials product structures and identify and manage long lead procurements.
- Specify connector pinouts and mil-standard part numbers in interface control documents (ICDs)
- Work with production planners and assembly technicians to resolve issues during fabrication cycle.
- Report status of tasks being worked and learn how to overcome obstacles that are preventing progress.
- Network with co-workers in order to understand the expertise of colleagues who can provide consultation for problem solving.
- Establish and maintain reuse standards of common electrical test equipment.
- Learn to leverage heritage designs in order to save schedule and cost when appropriate.
- Review, understand and help derive requirements for the ESTE which is being designed.
- Execute test procedures on Electrical test equipment
- Assist in the management of engineering task creation and tracking.
- Assist in the management of general design practices for the ESTE & TS&CM organization.
- Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
- Perform other duties as necessary.
On-Site Work Environment: This position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site five days each normally scheduled week in the primary work location. Travel and local commute between company campuses and other possible non-company locations may be required.
Working Conditions:
- Work is performed in an office, laboratory, production floor, or cleanroom, outdoors or remote research environment.
- May occasionally work in production work centers where use of protective equipment and gear is required.
- May access other facilities in various weather conditions.
