Build the Brains Behind Missile DefensePDS Tech Commercial is seeking a highly skilled and security-cleared Software Engineer – Developer to support the development of mission-critical systems for the Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS). Join a team at the forefront of aerospace innovation, where your code contributes directly to national security and global stability.
What You’ll DoAs a Software Engineer on this elite team, you will:
- Design and develop Java-based mathematical algorithms for command and control systems
- Support the full software development lifecycle: design, implementation, testing, and issue resolution
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment
- Participate in software architecture and requirements development
- Contribute to integration and test planning, execution, and documentation
- Work 100 onsite in a secure, collaborative setting
- Travel domestically up to 10 as needed
What You BringRequired Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- 9+ years of engineering experience (or 7+ with a Master’s, 4+ with a PhD)
- Proficiency in Java or Java Spring
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience developing complex mathematical algorithms (e.g., tracking, guidance, radar management)
- Ability to translate MATLAB-based algorithms into Java
- Background in aerospace or defense software systems

Pay Details: $75.51 to $79.54 per hour
