The Military Commercial Derivative Aircraft (MCDA) BGS maintenance engineering team seeks an Associate Support Engineering Data Specialist.
The Support Engineering Data Specialist will research and assess both Commercial and Military Commercial Derivative Aircraft (MCDA) engineering and engineering changes to determine impact on aircraft maintenance operations in order to develop aircraft maintenance tasks and perform line repairable unit Level of Repair Analysis. The Support Engineering Data Specialist will play a crucial role in providing technical support to internal and external customers, will be able to perform aircraft maintenance task analysis, and able to leverage data analysis to drive insights and improve processes across the value stream. The MCDA team supports all derivative programs in the Puget Sound region (P-8, KC-46, VC-25B and E-7A).
Position Responsibilities
Work with supplier data to analyze and integrate the data into MCDA support systems.
Assist team lead on proposals for capturing new business.
Evaluate requirements to assist with Basis of Estimates (BOE), and Statement of Work (SOW) drafting.
Contribute in the development, analysis, collection, storage, and review of system support technical data elements and specifications.
Participate in Working Group meetings.
Collaborate with Engineering teams and the FAA through all phases of certification; Amended Type Certification (ATC), Supplemental Type Certification (STC) and Military Type Certification (MTC).
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
3+ years of experience gathering, preparing, and analyzing technical data for the development of support products including logistics engineering, logistics support analysis, technical publications, support equipment, spares, provisioning, field services, maintenance, etc., supporting product lifecycle.
1+ years’ experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
Experience with scheduling and participating in meetings successfully.
Able to communicate aircraft technical data and information to US military, and foreign military customers.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
3+ years related work experience in the aviation industry
2+ years of experience with commercial derivatives
Maintenance experience on Boeing 737, 767 and 747 highly desired and/or maintenance experience on military heavy aircraft
Strong organizational and communication skills

Summary pay range: $68,850 - $93,150
