Mechanical Analysis Engineer (Submarine and Undersea Missions Systems)

Pay Estimated: $40-$60/Hour

Responsibilities:

As a mechanical analysis engineer for Undersea Mission Systems, you’ll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for the design and analysis of critical undersea hardware

• Lead mechanical design and analysis efforts for critical undersea hardware used in defense applications.

• Develop and refine mechanical models and drawings using CAD tools, primarily Creo.

• Apply knowledge of manufacturing methods, technical standards, and industry regulations to support engineering design.

• Collaborate with engineering teams on complex projects requiring innovative mechanical solutions.

• Contribute to documentation efforts, including technical reports, analysis papers, and design proposals.

Qualifications:

• U.S. Citizenship required by Federal law

• Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related STEM field with 5+ years of relevant experience (or Master’s degree with 3+ years of experience)

• Proficiency in CAD modeling and drawing creation using Creo

• Strong understanding of manufacturing and fabrication methods, technical standards, and government/industry requirements

• Familiarity with material specifications and metallurgy, especially for submarine and undersea applications

• Knowledge of weld types (MIL-STD-22) and welding processes (TP-1688, 278)

• Experience using ANSYS and MATLAB for engineering analysis, including the ability to train others

• Background in Shock Grade B analysis is preferred
