Digital Signal Processing Software Engineer job in Scottsdale, Arizona is available with Moseley Technical Services Top Aerospace / Defense company.
Responsibilities:
Contribute to the development, testing, and enhancement of advanced software and DSP (Digital Signal Processing) solutions supporting ground-to-satellite communications for global defense missions.
Assist in the maintenance and evolution of a live system while integrating new capabilities and replacing end-of-life components.
Apply DSP algorithms and software design techniques to deliver high-performance communication services in extreme environments such as urban terrain, mountains, jungles, and the Arctic.
Collaborate with a cross-functional engineering team to ensure system performance, scalability, and reliability.
Participate in the full software lifecycle including requirement analysis, design, implementation, integration, and verification.
Qualifications:
- U.S. citizen with ability to obtain Department of Defense Secret security clearance
- Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field and 5+ years of experience, or Masters degree and 3+ years of experience
- Knowledge of DSP and communications theory
- Signals and Systems, FFTs, FIR filters, convolution, correlation, etc.
- Communications or modem design and development
- C/C++ and MATLAB, NumPy, Python, Gnu Radio or X-MIDAS
- High performance computing
- High speed (100G+) networking, switch setup, selecting switch, NIC and transceiver components
- IP networking, DPDK and MPI
- Linux system administration, server set up and tuning for DSP
- USRP hardware
- Spectrum analyzer measurements
- Ability to execute the DSP development process
