Contract Position
Pay Estimated: $62.61-$67.61/Hour
This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors, (geographical location, etc.)
Contribute to a company at the forefront of mission-critical systems and technologies in defense and security. This leader in global defense integrates advanced technology to deliver information and insights on the battlefield, offering roles that support security and technological superiority across multiple domains.
Responsibilities:
Design and develop electronic hardware solutions, including printed circuit board (PCB) layouts and system-level integration, for the Common Weapon Launcher (CWL) and related systems.
Analyze and design analog and digital circuits, including signal conditioning and communication interfaces.
Develop, verify, and troubleshoot electrical hardware through lab testing and integration.
Support the development of test criteria and assist in test system design.
Perform component- and architecture-level trade studies to determine optimal system solutions using commercial and industry-standard technologies.
Create and maintain design documentation, interface specifications, and cable assembly schematics.
Prepare and deliver technical presentations and reports to program management and Navy stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related STEM field with 5+ years of relevant experience; or Master’s degree with 3+ years of experience.
U.S. Citizenship required by Federal law.
Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.
Experience supporting military-grade electronics systems, including the Common Weapon Launcher (CWL) or similar platforms.
Full understanding of the engineering development life cycle, from concept through test.
Hands-on experience with analog and digital circuit design, including signal conditioning and communication interfaces such as RS-422, RS-485, and LVDS.
Proficiency in PCB design, including high-level diagrams, SPICE/power analysis, component selection, and schematic entry (OrCAD Capture preferred).
Familiarity with lab instrumentation including signal generators, high-speed oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers.
Experience with firmware/microcontroller integration and working knowledge of VHDL/Verilog is a plus.
Strong technical documentation and system interface definition experience.
