Training Specialist
Description
The Training Specialist will be responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive training programs to ensure compliance with AS9100, System Level Procedures (SLP’s), Certified Repair Station processes, among other industry standards. This role involves conducting needs assessments, developing training plans, administration, and oversight of training programs to support both bargained and non-bargained employees.
Responsibilities:
Analyze and administer training programs to ensure compliance with AS9100, SLP’s, Certified Repair Station processes, procedures, and other standards.
Conduct needs assessments for both bargained and non-bargained employees and develop targeted training plans.
Interpret and apply organizational policies, procedures, and work instructions for use in skills assessment and training.
Develop and coordinate training curriculum, programs, procedures, and plans to meet organizational goals.
Collaborate with all departments to help assess and coordinate training efforts to meet department needs.
Create and maintain a standardized record-keeping system to track training administration and associated costs.
Develop and conduct training courses and/or work closely with Subject Matter Experts (SME) to create and administer training.
Assist with the development and administration of employee testing programs, including Train-the-Trainer programs.
Provide metrics reports as requested.
Review current training programs and methodologies and recommend improvements.
Coordinate training with external industry partners as needed.
Work closely with local, state, and federal grants for training program funding (e.g., WEDnet).
Ensure all employees receive the necessary training to perform their roles safely and effectively.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Minimum of 7 years’ experience, preferably within a manufacturing or aviation environment.
Bachelors degree in Education, Human Resources, Training & Development, or a related field preferred.
Self-motivated and autonomous.
Technical or manufacturing background.
Experience in a union setting.
Knowledge of aviation regulations and standards (e.g., FAA, EASA) a plus
