Key Responsibilities:
- Balance managing the delivery of the UK HR agenda with Corporate initiatives and SBU/ EF specific objectives.
- Act as the custodian of talent and partner with senior managers to drive the full scope of the talent agenda; ensure delivery of the subsequent development actions to create and retain a pipeline of talent. Ensure development plans are in place for leadership teams
- Promote best practise of processes and procedures and appropriate compliance.
- Provide one-to-one coaching and advice to business leaders on people issues to enhance their ability to deliver the UK HR strategy and support delivery of business objectives, both short and long-term
- Review and analyse the Employee Survey results for relevant business area, and coach business managers in creating action plans to address emerging themes, improve retention and enhance employee engagement.
- Ensure that the organisational structure of the relevant business area is appropriately designed to deliver business stream objectives and adapt to changing demands and circumstances.
- Identify strategic resourcing requirements (including current and projected skill / capability gaps) and work with leaders to develop and execute appropriate resourcing plans. Influence and be involved in senior recruitment activity.
- Support the design and delivery of the L&D plan to meet local and UK requirements.
- Ensure that structural change is effectively managed; lead redundancy processes and transactional ER issues (eg performance management/ capability), maintaining awareness of all dismissals; take ownership of more complex matters
- Promote the Inclusion & Diversity agenda and support achievement of targets.
- Build strong relationships with the HR Admin team, to support effectiveness of all end to end processes.
- Utilise HR MI to analyse trends and identify issues within relevant business area, and take appropriate steps to address and improve business performance.

Experience/Qualifications
The following qualities/experience are essential:
- Proven track record in building effective relationships with senior leadership teams, managing organisational and cultural change initiatives and managing the delivery of HR strategies
- Strong focus on employee engagement
- Demonstrable experience working within the context of complex, matrix organisations
- Understand Talent management and how to deliver effective plans to enhance capability
- Strong commercial awareness
- Experience of delivering cultural change
- Significant experience delivering across the full range of HR disciplines
- Emotionally intelligent and able to coach and influence senior colleagues
- Viewed as a trusted business advisor and one who maintains a broad commercial and business understanding in order to develop long-term business relationships
- Experience of project managing initiatives
- Strong communication and influencing skills
The following qualities/experience/qualifications are desirable:
- CIPD qualified, or willing to work towards
