You will be the Life Support Analyst on the Flight Operations team with the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter Flight Test Program at Patuxent River, Maryland.

In this position, the employee will perform day-to-day maintenance, inspections, testing, and repairs of F-35 Pilot Flight Equipment (PFE).

What You Will Be Doing

Your responsibilities will include:

• Maintain, inspect and repair the F-35 Helmet Mounted Display (HMD), oxygen masks and related electronic communication devices, G-suits, anti-exposure suits, flotation devices, Chem Bio gear, and survival equipment. while utilizing Joint Technical Data (JTD) and Aerospace Equipment Instruction (AEI).

• Perform HMD operational checks on the F-35 aircraft.

• Instruct and train aircrew on ejection seat egress, survival techniques, and life support equipment.

• Utilize sewing machine for maintenance, repair, and custom fabrication.

• Maintain aircrew logs and records.

• Integrate with Engineering in support of current and new PFE projects and initiatives.

• Maintain ordnance certification.

• The option to travel internationally to support flight operations at F-35 production FACO facilities.

This position is located in Patuxent River, MD.
Basic Qualifications:
• Trained and certified as an Aircrew Life Support Equipment technician through a US Navy/USMC PR A School or USAF Life Support Tech School or equivalent commercial training.

• Sewing machine experience to include maintenance, repair, and custom fabrication.

• Experience reading Technical Publications and maintaining aircrew log and records.

• Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

• SECRET Security Clearance.

• Valid U.S. Passport.
Desired Skills:
• Travel for F-35 testing at other military bases and on naval aircraft carriers.
• F-35 PFE experience to include PFE Support Equipment (SE).
• Knowledge of Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS) and JTD procedures.
• Experience with Life Support Equipment specific to fighter aircraft
• Knowledge of US Navy/Marine Corps regulations and procedures.
• Knowledge of helmet mounted displays (HMD/JHMCS), inflation test equipment, and visor trimming processes.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $69,900 - $123,280. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidates work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as spanet and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible.
