Contract Position
Pay Estimated: $55.47-$60.47/Hour
This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors, (geographical location, etc.)
Contribute to a company at the forefront of mission-critical systems and technologies in defense and security. This leader in global defense integrates advanced technology to deliver information and insights on the battlefield, offering roles that support security and technological superiority across multiple domains.
Responsibilities:
Serve as a technical interface for end users, providing systems analysis, troubleshooting, and administration support across physical and virtual environments.
Perform server administration, including installation, patching, compliance (STIG/SCAP), and configuration of both Linux and Windows environments.
Support Active Directory operations, Group Policy, DNS, WSUS, and user account administration.
Manage day-to-day performance and security of servers and workstations, ensuring ConMon compliance and implementing necessary updates.
Utilize monitoring tools to assess performance and conduct remediation as needed.
Automate routine processes using scripting and ensure system integrity through vulnerability scanning tools such as Nessus.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience, with 5+ years of relevant experience; or Master’s degree with 3+ years of experience.
U.S. Citizenship required by Federal law.
Active Secret Clearance required.
Strong background in Linux system administration and scripting for automation.
Solid understanding of server-based OS platforms, with hands-on experience supporting both physical and virtual infrastructures.
Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, WSUS, and SCAP/STIG compliance.
Familiarity with vulnerability and compliance tools such as Nessus, and monitoring/logging tools like Splunk.
Working knowledge of Windows Server 2016/2019, Windows 10/11, and common enterprise applications such as Exchange, SharePoint, and Adobe products.
